Coker Creek and surrounding areas

Coker Creek is a quaint little town.
There is a wonderful Art Gallery, Coker Creek Gallery just a few minutes away. The Gallery has a selection of local artisans work and beautiful nature photography. Visit their website at www.cokercreekgallery.com.
The Visitors Center has local artisans displaying their wares and lots of good information about the area. Go to www.visitcokercreek.com.
You won't want to miss stopping in to see Merrisue at My Favorite Things Gift Shop located across from the Visitors Center. Local Artisans sell their wares and she has lots of unique items. I hear she's planning to open a little cafe soon. Fresh baked goods, soups, and such. More to be revealed.

Tellico Plains, located 10 miles North of Coker Creek, is home town to approximately 1000 people. A great spot for limited groceries, fueling your vehicle and grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. Downtown Tellico is a darling little town with Restaurants, the Emporium, Pottery Shop, hardware and books, art gallery, healing spa and massage, a wonderful bakery, and scheduled evenings on the avenue that include local musicians.
Head towards the Cherohala Skyway.... website: www.cherohala.com
stop by the Visitor Center and Gift Shop, you'll find a great river restaurant and a little Deli along the road that has a nice back porch on the river to dine. The Cherohala Skyway is a wonderful day trip atop the mountains from Tellico Plains, TN to Robbinsville, NC. Places to picnic, bike, hike or just take a drive. The views are breathtaking with elevations over 5000 ft above the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests.
